Plenty of people will put a number on a girl. A number is only worth something if you can see how it was set, and by whom. Four things have to be true before a result reaches her profile.

A published protocol
Every event runs to a written method we publish. Same distance, same start, same stop, at every camp. When the method changes the version changes with it, and a result says which version it was set under.

A certified administrator
The person holding the timing device is certified by us to run that protocol. Not a parent with a phone, not a coach eyeballing it from the sideline, not the athlete filming herself.

A conditions record
Surface, weather and timing method are recorded next to the result. A sprint on wet grass and a sprint on indoor turf are not the same sprint, and her profile says which one she ran.

Chain of custody
The number goes from the timing device to her profile without passing through anyone who benefits from it being faster. Nothing self-reported ever enters a ranked field.
Six events at every camp: speed, acceleration, change of direction, explosiveness, and two skills built for this sport rather than borrowed from tackle football. Judged fields, the ones a person scores rather than a clock, sit behind a permission her family sets and never feed the public number.
FlagHer Elite camps are run under this standard. Ages 6 to 12 attend as a camp experience with nothing captured and no profile created.
